Growing up as the successor to the Konan throne, Hotohori didn't have a happy childhood at all. He's been a lonely child ever since he could remember. When he learned that he is a seishi ("celestial warrior") of the legendary Suzaku no Miko, a girl who would come from another world to save Konan in the time of crisis, he kept hoping that she would come soon and love him as he is, not just as an emperor.

When Suzaku no Miko appears years later, Hotohori is determined to protect her with his magnificent swordsmanship no matter what...
